The Next Chapter of Building: Venture Guides Raises Fund II

Demand was oversubscribed despite challenging economic conditions

We are proud to announce Venture Guides Fund II at $262.5 million.  At a time when venture fundraising hit a 6-year low,  our fund raise was oversubscribed in eight weeks with a single close. This milestone helps validate both our strategy and differentiated approach to venture investing and guiding. It also serves as a testament to the strength of partnership and alignment with both our LPs and portfolio companies.  We are especially pleased that 100% of our Fund I family office investors rejoined and are thrilled to welcome a new cohort of institutional and family office backers to the Venture Guides community.  In short, the partnership...is working.

The New Venture Playbook

The Venture Guides strategy is built on team-based investing, deep sector expertise, and active guiding. It resonates in today’s climate because it is built for resilience. When capital is less available and startups require real belief and support beyond just dollars, we offer a hands-on informed approach that combines operational experience with high-conviction investing.

We built Venture Guides to be more than a capital partner. With VG Sales, our in-house sales academy; over 10+% GP co-investment commitment in Fund II; and a deep bench of domain experts, we strive to accelerate our portfolio companies’ journeys —not just as investors, but as Guides. Since our founding in 2023, we’ve built a team of 20 professionals and partnered with a portfolio of eleven promising infrastructure software companies.  We are pleased that ten of those companies elected to co-locate and build their GTM operations side-by-side with us in our Boston headquarters. In short, the strategy... is working.

A Commitment to Boston—and Beyond

We’re honored to help a growing innovation movement in Boston. As Segun Idowu, Chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion for the City of Boston, recently noted, Venture Guides is positioning Boston as a launchpad for software technology companies globally by backing founders from across the country and around the world. These leaders are hiring, expanding, and thriving here.  In short, Venture Guides’ bet on Boston for go-to-market execution built on intellect, operational excellence, and grit...is working.

We are Just Getting Started

We are deeply grateful for the support we received from our existing and new investors. The Venture Guides LP community will help us fuel the next stages of growth as we expand our commitments to exceptional leaders who truly innovate rather than emulate.  The firm will continue investing, guiding, and serving founders and partners who value our expertise in recruiting, go-to-market, alliances, finance, and strategy—and who want to build enduring businesses.

Our team brings relentless energy, deep experience, and belief in what’s possible when the right founders are matched with the right partners to serve customers.  Fund II provides an opportunity for us to continue what we’ve started: backing exceptional founders and helping build category-defining infrastructure software companies. In short, we are energized, incentivized, capitalized... and it is working.

If you are a leader or founder looking for an informed, long-term partner, contact the team! We are just getting started...and it’s working.
